IJO-AJE OF YORUBA LAND ASSIGN NEW KING FOR OYO STATE
Oba Dr. Olasupo Yusuff Olamilekan Shekoni (Ilufemiloye 1) assign new king for Oyo State name Oba-Aje. The founder Ijo-Aje Yoruba land Nigeria and Oversea (Reformed) Oba Olasupo Y. Olamilekan, Incorporated in Nigeria since 1934. No 2, Obalana Street, FHE, Olomore, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Oba Olasupo was installed as the Oba-Aje of Ogun State and later upgraded as Oba-Aje of Yoruba land with the support of Ooni of Ife since his great grandfather is recognized as Aje worshippers who handover the gods to Olasupo father. The association (Ijo-Aje) was founded by Oba Olasupo Yusuff Shekoni as a reformed organization who knows the deep about the god (Aje) and was chosen by oracle to hold the leading role of the association as King (Oba-Aje).
The founder said; Aje remain the last born of Olokun and marry Oodua son who gave birth to 21 children, Esu took Aje to Orunmila while Iya-laje is the only maid under Aje who help her with every commercial activities.
Challenges is mandatory in achieving better things in life, “my main obstacles started when I deny the god (Aje) but personally decided to accept the decision to worship the god since the oracle has already speak about me as the last born of my father to look after the god (AJE)” he said.
After my installation as Aare-Aje, I was certified as Oba-Aje of Ogun State which lead to series of controversial among the town kings, it reach a level of running after life and later upgraded and certified as Oba-Aje of Yoruba Land, Nigeria and Oversea.
Moreover, we have a good cooperation with all kings in Yoruba land and Oba-Aje remain the only god king who have the authority to wear crown to any event, I will like to advise the fellowers to tapped from the founder of reformed Ijo-Aje to rule in their respective State and Zone. They should try to follow the guidelines and never astray from the lay down path of worship Aje.
“Aje-Olokun covers everything related to Olokun, Aje and other gods in Yoruba land and prays for the uplift and development of Nigeria. The association is yet to present most of their progammes on media due to the registration still under process” he said.
Ijo-Aje Yoruba land Nigeria and oversea (Reformed) appoints more executives to expand the horizon of the association assigning Oluwo Faseyi Abiodun Fakayode as Oba-Aje of Oyo state, Mrs. Abiola as Erelu-Aje Olokun, Arike as Okin-Aje Olokun, and many others.
The Oba-Aje remain the head of the association, Oluwo is the second in command and the council comprises of 27 chiefs for male and applicable to female executives range from Iya-Osha, Iyalode, Layee-Erelu, and others.
